Do you get extreme anxiety like me when someone is late to pick you up? If my mom is even 5 minutes late, I begin pacing, chewing on my nails, and call her multiple times.

So do you have anxiety problems with people being late?

I have problems when they aren't early.

Yes I am very sensitive to time and when someone says they will be there at a certain time and they aren't I get very upset to the point of breaking down-I was once accused of elder abuse once when I took my mother to an appointment at 9:00 am and I was waiting in the parking lot for what was supposed to be a 10 minute test and they didin't get her tested until 12 that morning-I am sitting in the parking lot stewing because I have to go back to work and I go in showing my agitated state and they think I am abusing my mother-what nerve.

If anyone is late by two minutes or more, I get agitated. For example, my social worker was 7 minutes late for seeing me and I got upset and told her that she was 7 minutes late.

I'm usualy the one reminding someone that they are late. If someone is supposed to be here at 3:00, I harp on them if they arrive at 3:01. It also drives me crazy when I ask what time it is and some one will say, "quarter 'till one or half past noon". Or tell me it's 1:00 when it's 12:59. Next to obsessions, rigidity and black and white thinking are my strongest AS traits.

It doesn't bother me too much, unless they're really late, but then nobody likes that.

I only get anxious of waiting in the doctors waiting room for too long because someone always brings their toddlers in and they start screaming and I cannot be somewhere with a noisy kid where I know I can't escape, so that is why I like to be called straight away (unfortunately my doctor surgery is unorganised so all appointments are delayed by at least 10 minutes and at most 2 hours).

I had to wait 33 minutes for what was essentially a two minute appointment concerning money issues in which I was expected to bring paperwork that I was never told about. I had also had stomach problems causing me to be late getting there. It was a mess and I was in public and on the edge of crying with rage. Rage at myself and the woman who put me in that situation. Normally I don't get upset too much over being late or someone being late but when there's a sense of urgency involving money or something important it gets bad.

I get a lot of anxiety whenever someone is late. Many possible horrible scenarios run through my mind and it just gets worse and worse until someone finally shows up or I give up on waiting, the latter usually accompanied by a meltdown to some degree.

Yes. I hate it when people are late. If you give a period of time like 12 to 1 I am less anxious than if you gave a specific time like 12:10.

Yes, I have that problem too. If someone says that they're coming over at a certain time, and then fail to show up at said time, I start getting a bit worried. Then I start getting anxious, and if they're more than 30minutes late,I get visibly upset, almost to the point of meltdown.

I get very agitated too and I feel like so much time has been wasted. It keeps me in an agitated state for hours afterwards, and I admit I react childishly to it. Even when it's not anyones' fault if something / someone is late.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who's late getting to places. Not that I'm intentionally late, but I have a hard time following directions. Especially directions given on a map.

I used to get agitated and I sometimes still do when someone is late. Its like, are they going to show up. Now I have a greater tolerance. I hate it having friends show up half an hour or more late. Or 10 min fine but half an hour, do you really have to be that late?
