I just take Senator Paul at his word that he merely cannot be bothered to train or supervise his staff, or to carefully select who he wants speaking for him.

Is that what he said? He did sign the letter. He is still responsible for the contents. Even if he can't be bothered to supervise his staff, he should at least read what he is signing.

That doesn't look anything like his regular signature.

I called the number, 1-800-RON-PAUL to get the kit and newsletter, but the line is busy.

A couple hundred dollars is nothing compared to the servitude one will serve under a microchiped currency and camouflaged IRS agents with AK-47s

It's not fare guys! I'm scared and now theirs nothing I can do!

HELP ME RON PAULLLL!! !!

Do you think that one was forged? Here are some samples of his signature

It looks authentic to me, and he didn't deny that he had signed it.

Here is a word from one of Ron Paul's more strident supporters

He's a Representative BTW.

He has not denied that they are real news letters. But he has stated that he did not write or read them.

I actually agreed with a lot the letter said.

Really, there are only a few options.

1: They are forgeries. Ron Paul has not made this claim.

2: Ron Paul is as crazy as a back-woods redneck, and awfully racist.

3: Ron Paul is a clever manipulator who knows how to get crazy rednecks to vote for him and give him money.

4: Ron Paul is a presidential candidate with a track record of not really caring what his staffers do in his name.

Why he picked option 4 is beyond my understanding. I don't see how it is better than any of the above.

Besides the sales pitch, what was the craziest part of this letter?

An IRS agent with an AK47?

The suggestion that the new paper money designs are somehow nefarious?

Tag agents in the dye?

A National Finance Guard?

The coming race war?

Ron had no control of these newsletters, he had nothing to do with them. Clearly if you know anything about Ron Paul, you'll know this sounds nothing like him.

here's a FAQ on it

So, how hard did he work to shut them down? I've always wanted to hear that story.
