i feel it makes no sense in rekindling old relationships of past
whether its searching for childhood friends, school mates, college mates
or even making random searches on facebook
most of the past people whom i have come across on FB or other places
no longer mean anything much to me even my close friend

i think its better to nail the coffin and let it lie buried forever.

Agreed. A remake is never as good as we expect it to be.

It's good to find old friends to catch up on what they're doing, I suppose, but I don't do it myself. Except for reunions, I just let the past remain there.

have A Great Day!

i've tried "re-opening coffins"
in my experience, it wasn't worth it.
if you have to do it to get past and over a nostalgic phase
go ahead and do it to finally "nail it shut". that's better than just wondering what could have been because you (thought) they were worth it due to emotion. sometimes, you think
you can re-open it, until you see the person for who they really are.
just my 2 cents, it could be different for others

Those are some good points for me to ponder.

right remake is never as good as original one

and over time people change, their life situations change, their perspective change
college friends are no longer the carefree buddies with whom we enjoyed they
are chained down by responsibilities, family problems
the relationship now comes with a baggage and they interact with us
sparingly

so its better not to open the bag of worms
