Yeah, the Fallout series is a perfect example of good enemies for video games. I only need to buy another HD to install Windows 7: running Fallout 3 on Wine is a painful experience.

I wonder if my grandmother would let me implant machine parts on the dog? :P

In the meantime, I can play this:

You actually got Fallout to run in Wine? Impressive.

I used PlayOnLinux. It works, but the framerate gets unbeliavably low whenever you are near a body of water or using the VATS. Also, there is no sound after the main menu, unless you are really lucky.

They just amble forward and moan. What's interesting about that?

A thread about zombies in games and not one mention of Left 4 Dead.

Shame on you

I prefer the characters from the first one, but my favorite level is Hard Rain in the second one. The rain makes a great atmosphere.

I personally like zombies in the original and second HL. They are the original flood, which makes Halo kind of a rip on the series. Gordon Freeman is equal to Master Chief in many ways, better in some. The only thing Gordon does not have is good armor. However, MC has rechargeable shields. This is, however, his only real advantage.

Eh, they're alright in some cases. Have fond memories of Zombies ate my neighbors on the SNES. Zelda's ReDeads can be a bit creepy. Undead Nightmare is cool, but not as fun as the main game. I think there's more potential for a more creative type of zombie game. I would say Dead Island is a step toward that, but I haven't played it myself so I can't really judge.

Can't believe I forgot to mention Plants vs. Zombies. Pretty neat, fun, original, and stylish. Great music, too.

Wow, past self. You are such an idiot. It's a homage. Also, while Gordon Freeman is cooler, he isn't as good as MC, since his armor is basically the videogame equivalent of tin foil.

Zombies are crazy cool... Add shotguns, fire axes (and Ving Rhames), and you have some good clean family entertainment you can trust...

I'm still not done wiping the drool off my keyboard after playing The Walking Dead.

.... oh, and...

... That's the old passage to Ravenholm. We don't go there anymore.

I'm sick of zombies, I don't get their "popularity", I think they're disgusting and disturbing and if we ever saw them in real life we'd probably be puking too much just from the stench and sight of decaying flesh to fight them. Yes I'm female... do the Dry Bones Koopas in the Mario games count as zombies, because I like them. I also have the game Plants Vs. Zombies my brother gave me for Christmas a year ago and it got boring pretty fast...

Apparently Hideo Kojima had the idea of nano machine controlled zombies in a possible sequel/prequel to Metal Gear Rising. Madness indeed.

if you get the 'Revolution' DLC for Black Ops 2, I think its the first ever instance in a video game where you can 'play as' a zombie.
