I know it sucks, but hating him for being successful is very unproductive. Just concentrate your efforts on filmmaking and try to follow the example set by successful people in your area of work, instead of worrying about unrelated people.

magnus is right the unsuccessful people dont do anything! trust me some people are lucky but i would rather live life unlucky because then i wouldnt rely on my luck just on myself!! !

Also inevitably in the fullness of time it turns out the people you are envious of have something or things that if you knew about it you'd think 'glad thats not me'.
