I keep trying to upload a new Avatar via Tinypic since it's the only way I know how to get the photo to be the right size but it's not working. Any suggestions?

You can upload a picture directly from your computer to the forum, that is how I've always done it.

You could try a photobucket account.

The dimensions and file size of the image are important, so do take note of the instructions regarding them.

I always edit and resize them before saving them within the specifications, but many people probably wouldn't bother
If you're unaware of the limits, they need to be smaller than 130 px (width) and 160 px (height), and less than 16KB.
Sometimes you need to shrink the pictures to a ridiculously small size for it to work :?

IrfanView has some pretty nifty image editing/size reduction capabilities, but you do need to experiment with it for a while to get the best out of it.

If you post the original image here, someone might be kind enough to resize it for you. :)
