http://psychcentral.com/cgi-bin/autismquiz.cgi

Took the quiz and it said I scored a 24. This is what it said:

Quote:
You have answered this autism screening in such a way as to suggest that you are not likely currently suffering from an austism spectrum disorder, including Asperger's disorder.

You should not take this as a diagnosis or recommendation for treatment in any way, though.
34 & up=Asperger's
30 - 33=possible autism
0 - 29=No Autism

Those dam empathy questions! They make it seem like I'm not Aspergers! Oh well I'm diagnosed already so it doesn't matter. What did you guys get? Was it accurate for YOU?

My results "You scored a total of 42

Based upon your responses to this autism screening measure, it appears that you are likely suffering from an autism spectrum disorder, or Asperger's disorder. People who score similarly often qualify for a diagnosis of autism or Asperger's."

Its the exact same questions as this test http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/9.12/aqtest.html

which I scored a 43 on when I took it over a year ago.

I clicked on the link and it immediately said I scored 0. Yeah right, worse psychic quiz ever. How do you start it?

Click quizzes at the top of the page and it's the fifth one down the list.

I ALWAYS score 45 on it, regardless of when or where I take it. I don't memorise the questions or anything either, I just do it and score 45. Even when I went to see a Tourettes specialist and did this (not knowing it was the same quiz until after) it came as 45!

me too... I am a total zero as well :(

when I took the other version of the AQ test I got a 34 my first time (linked from another site) which is why I came here... then today I took it and decided that I would answer questions conservatively and got a 33... ha ha ha

Here's my score on this:
Results of your
Autism / Asperger's Screening Quiz
You scored a total of 43

Based upon your responses to this autism screening measure, it appears that you are likely suffering from an autism spectrum disorder, or Asperger's disorder. People who score similarly often qualify for a diagnosis of autism or Asperger's.

People with an autism spectrum disorder often suffer from severe and sustained impairment in social interaction and the development of restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, and activities. The disturbance must cause clinically significant impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.

You should not take this as a diagnosis of any sort, or a recommendation for treatment. However, it would be advisable and likely beneficial for you to seek further diagnosis from a trained mental health professional soon to rule out a possible anxiety disorder.

FYI - I am not officially diagnosed.

I always get 32, I may have scored differently if I had taken it as a child. Anyway, I recognized this as Simon Baron-Cohen's test. The problem with this test is it is skewed towards a particular personality type and ignores the diversity of those on the spectrum. I think my skills in reading faces put me more on the NT side, but that doesn't mean I have any clue as to how to respond. One psychologist suggested I became hyper-vigilant because of dear old angry dad and his periodic screaming fits. I think the rdos test is much more comprehensive but he doesn't have the celebrity that Baron-Cohen has.

I don't take the AQ or the Aspie Quiz seriously. Some autistic people will score in the NT range, and some NT people will score in the autistic range.

The person who diagnosed me said things about the cutoff at 33 not being used, but one lower down around 24-26 (I don't remember the particular number). If you were below that point you're almost certainly not autistic (you might be but the probability is very low), while above that point you need more information.

I get a 36 or 37 (one point of variation dependent on mood)

Just a quick comment: that test is not designed for people aged 14. It is designed for adults, and there is a different test for people your age.

I just took it and got a 39, but I don't put much weight in the numbers from these things. I just thought I'd put my experiences with another similar quiz lol. I remember in school we had to take an introvert/extrovert quiz where you rank agree/disagree to a bunch of different situations. I ended up scoring 95% extrovert, when honestly pretty much anyone who knows me including myself would say I'm closer to 95% introvert lol. That's one reason I never put a ton of faith into these sorts of self-quiz things. For one, the questions are often weird and over-generalized, and secondly it can sometimes be difficult to evaluate aspects of yourself without the contribution of some sort of bias.

If it's the same quiz written by Simon Baron Cohen, then you're right, it is inaccurate, like many of the things he writes about.
