I have been visiting a small town (Loleta, Calif.) near where I live every few years for about 10 years. This last time people I knew there acted kind of odd, finally someone said it's because I don't appear to have aged, and it something that they noticed even more this time. It was kind of a Twilight Zone feeling, anybody else have this almost Highlander reaction as you get older?

I had someone make a comment about my apparent lack of aging. I said not to worry, it would catch up with me eventually. That seemed to make her happier.

Dear Shrox, If that is a current picture, they do have a point, but there's obviously more than a little jealousy involved in their comments.
May I make a small confession? I hesitated a bit before reading this, because I didn't know if you'd found another Purple Unicorn Bodybuilder/Stripper for us, and I'm eating lunch in a Taco Bell, and didn't want to laugh out loud.

People think I'm the youngest of the 3 sisters in my immediate family. Actually I'm the eldest by 3 and 5 years respectively. I'm almost 40 and people keep telling me I look like I'm in my 20's.
I'm not sure my sisters like those comments...

My younger sisters all look older than I, and my high-school classmates look ancient. They all say that I look too young, and have even gone so far as to demand proof that I have not had cosmetic surgery.

I look in my teens and get asked out by teenage guys all the time. I look almost identical as what i did when I was 14ish but i am in my late 20's.

I meet up with people from my old high school and they all look so old. It is a bit creepy actually. I have a good friend I met this year and she assumed I was 21 at the most because my son is nearly 5 and we met at the school he goes to. She asked me what it was like having a child while at high school. I had a laugh when she discovered my age.

I look the same as always. But I've pretty much looked like I was in my forties since gr. 12.

That's really the scariest thing - seeing your peers morphed into unrecognizeable caricatures of their former selves.

Although in some cases, it's kind of sweet...

Yes, I have gotten this and I'm not even old yet. I get carded all the freaking time. Only a year from my 30th birthday and people think I'm a teen trying to score booze... :?
