I think I get what you're saying... Various anime openings, yep.

Hokuto No Ken - Ai Wo Toredomose
Hokuto No Ken - Silent Survivor
Hokuto No Ken - Tough Boy
Sakigake!! Otokojuku OP
Outlaw Star - Through the Night

That's like, my workout playlist, motivates me to like, be the strongest EVER!!111

But for music that just makes me feel good about myself, like the other more sensitive part of me or whatever, this music here.
Gundam 0080 ED- "Tooi Kioku"

Quote:
Some days we wanted to teach
just to the one we love
the childhood dreams
we hold in our hearts

Gundam 0080 OP
Quote:
Even if everybody says "this is alright"
And remain silent
Yes, I want to know what true love is
that I have not found yet.

Rise your arms
And I if you reach the sky
You would see
The time of a new start
"You never give up forever"

Patlabor - Don't Let Love Sleep
Basically, all the Patlabor music makes me feel like that, good about myself, hopeful, etc. But this song's lyrics are like the best to me
Quote:
in a new wind
don't let the love asleep
with your heart point at the sky
go struggle
in a new era
don't forget your dream
someone is searching for your shoulder
surely

Patlabor - Paradise No Kakaritsu

So, long list, I could do more, but yeah. Basically a lot of anime openings and endings, especially older ones, do this perfectly for me.

I know I quoted it already in another thread, but "Going Up" by Echo & The Bunnymen. It's nice to see Mac being so open about his delusions, and not really caring about it. Even though I don't have much first-hand experience with them, it still comforts me. It's good to hear someone who doesn't think you need to feel like shite about it.

Quote:
Ain't thou watching my film
Analyzing me
Rusty chalk-dust walker
Checking up to see
If we should pull the plugs out
On all history
And all the mystery, yeah
Of things that shouldn't be
Things that couldn't be, no
Things that had to be
Don't you see?
Don't you see?
It's going up, up, up
It's going up
It's going up, up, up
It's going up
Let's get the hell out of here
Let's get the hell out of here
Going up
Going down

D'ya wanna know what's wrong with the world?
Everywhere there's people with no flowers in their hair...

The Smiths changed me.

Also 'Dust In The Wind', by Kansas.

And this one hit me pretty hard (hover over the triangle in the bottom right and click CC for lyrics, if they're not already enabled):

I love Dust In The Wind. :D I'm into Bright Eyes as well, but I haven't heard that song yet.

It's track 10 of the album 'Cassadaga'. Your signature is hilarious by the way.
