Well, the sirens woke me up about an hour ago. Tornado warning. We don't usually get this until March or April, but it's been in the 70s lately and so now we have tornadoes. It's raining and thundering really hard too and it would sound so nice and I could fall right back to sleep listening to that, if it weren't for this loud "air raid" siren going constantly that always makes me think of nuclear war.

Air raid sirens sounds a bit overkill o.o unless it were really because of an incoming air raid.

The air raid sirens sound so that people who don't have the TV and radio on can know there's weather. I don't have a problem with them going for maybe five minutes, but when they go on all_night_long, it's too much. Also, some people way out down here, don't have tv or radio in their house. Or phones. So the sirens are all they have.

We had about 4 inches of snow the other day, and last night it was thunderstorming. Indiana weather can be so weird sometimes.

I live in the same state except that I am further south near the gulf coast. It stormed pretty bad where I live too.

I heard about the tornadoes. It's very tragic that northern Alabama gets hit so badly by tornadoes.
I can imagine that you must have been frightened when the sirens went off considering the area's history of tornadoes.

My great uncle was hit by a brick from a tornado. A freak fatal blow right on his property in Northern Al.

We had lightning yesterday in the land of the Indians.
