Why are you here? To find understanding

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): 2001, Asperger's - the doctor stopped taking my health insurance shortly after diagnosis and none of my doctors since then have been familiar with Asperger's. Most of them just think I'm depressed which I feel is quite untrue.

Favorite subjects: Psychology, NT behavior, Aspie behavior

Year/Grade: Graduated highschool in 1992, will not attend reunions

Favorite music: Stuff with lyrics that I can sing along with

Books: Non-fiction psychology

TV shows/Movies: LOST

Instrument: Voice and I used to play the piano

Do you like sports? No

Family: I was married for 12 years and my two children live with their NT dad.

Clothing: Has to be comfortable and something that I think is pretty.

How did you find this website? Search engine

Job: Technical Writer and Quality Assurance for a software company - I'm the only woman in my department.

Plans for the future? Since it's about 5pm now my future plans include dinner, Internet, and then sleep.

Any comments? I'm extremly sensitive to noise, light, and clothing. I am very AS. 178/200 on the Aspie quiz.

Hi Mikka, I just read your note on another thread about missing the way your boyfriend looked at you before you had a meltdown. I thought you were another teenage ASpie girl ! !?? Ooopppsie. But my advice was somewhat generic. Sorry to hear about you and the kids not being together.
