I'm continually perplexed by the NT obsession with the sun. They seem to be more miserable, more angry and frequently call it a 'bad day' when its raining, and seem happy when its sunning. I dislike the way the sun gets in my eyes, and how it usually makes me too hot, but I don't shape my entire day around it. I wondered if other aspies feel the same way about it. It seems illogical to me.

The sun does influence my mood. I like bright sunny days, though I dislike heat. Dark, overcast, cloudy and rainy days tend to lower my mood, especially if it means I can't work outside in my garden.

the sun is the source of all life on earth, so I am very fond of her. But my eyes are sensitive to bright light and I don't like to be out in it in mid-day in the summer (very hot then, where I live).
But I also love "bad" weather, rain, clouds, snow, wind if it does not go on too long. I like the drama of it. Plus, it is part of the needed cycle of nature.

It is too sunny and dry here now for January. And I do get a big upset when people comment how nice the sunny days are when it is winter and we should be getting precipitation. I am going to do a rain dance soon.

Um, I don't really like the Sun because...
1. I'm..nocturnal.
2. The Sun stings my eyes.
3. I'm miserable whenever I get sunburnt.

I'm definitely solar powered: dull days of winter and such pull down my mood horribly and I tend to feel as flat and colourless as the environment appears.
The very best time for me is late spring to early summer, where everything green and growing is singing with life - it's almost tangible and to just be out amongst it is an immediate mood lift.
I'm not especially sensitive to bright sunlight but the extremes of heat can be uncomfortable.
Generally though, the more sunlight I can experience the better I feel.

I'm Scottish and I'm not sure that I can remember what the sun looks like. Haven't seen it for a while.

I love the sun though I'm more the "night active kind of guy". Sleeping from 6 to 12 in the morning and staying awake the whole night until 6. I cannot really learn when the sun shines. :-)

If you're asking if I like the sun in general, of course. Life on Earth would not exist without it.

If you're asking if I like sunny days, it depends. If I am in a wilderness setting, yes. If I am in an urban setting, I much prefer heavy rain and storms.

I love the sun. It makes my gardens grow and sustains all life.

However, my body is sensitive to sunlight. Bright lights, in general sting my eyes, but I'm not an idiot. I wear sunglasses. I also wear hats, scarves, ALWAYS sunglasses and long sleeves. I had several skin cancer spots removed in my late 30's, so I also use sunscreen on any part of my skin that's exposed.

I'm an intelligent human. I can overcome the elements.

I hate the sun. If I were able, I would spend all day everyday in a north facing(since in America I'd almost never receive direct sunlight) apartment with the kind of curtains that block virtually all light and I'd only come out after sunset. The sun is too bright, too hot(though living in Vegas probably exasperates the problem) and because I have freckles any exposure I have increases the odds I'll get skin cancer later in life.

I dislike the sun. I find it painful on my eyes.

I live a pretty much nocturnal life style because of it.

If there is any sun to be preferred it is the high noon sun. The angles of rise/set and getting into my eyes is irritating.
