I can verify that melatonin works great for sleep. It's the only thing I've taken that's potent enough to get me to sleep hours before my natural sleeping time (appr. 4am) without making me feel spacey or groggy the next day. And the sleep is natural and refreshing. It also helps fight depression and has been shown to prevent cancer. It's a naturally occurring, endogenous hormone. And finally, it's cheap as hell. The only thing you need to worry about is that it's synthetically produced. But most name brands produce it this way. If it's extracted from animal tissue I hear there's a chance that you may get a virus...? At least that's what I read.
Well I can't have something with animal tissue anyway. I am vegan, I am vegan for medical reasons. When I use to eat meat I use to have psoriasis and eczema when I went vegan it cleared away. I tried going back to eating meat and I ended up breaking out again. And thus I am like this. If there is a brand without animal tissue in it or anything then I guess. I just don't like taking stuff, I'm stubborn like that. But I am not a morning person. Nor am I an early night person too.
I also made this thread when I was really tired and just wanted to go back to bed, it was 8 in the morning kind of thing where I went to bed at 3 my usual time and had to force myself awake to go somewhere. It was slightly annoying at the time.
