I was never a fan of her music, but I'm still sorry to see her go, especially if it had involved drugs. I know she had had a substance addiction spanning years.

An extremely beautiful lady with an angelic voice. I also did not have any CD's by her but was blown away by her voice.

RIP Whitney

Sad to see that she has passed on, I was not a great fan of her but I liked some of her music.

Whitney Houston was one of many that made the 80's a pop music era.
I didn't relize we are the same age..

RIP Whitney Huston

Major celebrities never die of natural causes do they. They're always drugged up to the eyeballs and partied out.

I was out at dinner last night with some friends when I heard the news. I'd say most of the same things above; she was a staple and an influence on a lot of singers and many facets of how things were done post-80's.

I never cared for her music much, but I always respect people who can bring their craft to the level she did.

What is really, really sad is what she started doing to herself once she got there.

TBH, I'm surprised she lived as long as she did.

Wow Whitney Huston passed away? I was never a fan except when I heard her sing in that movie The Bodyguard. RIP Whitney.

That's pretty much the extent of my experience with her music.

My sister told my mother via text messaging last night and then my mother told me. We'll miss you, Whitney!

R.I.P., Whitney, God gave you so much, and you gave us so much happiness with your voice and your beauty.
Hopefully, this tragedy will shock someone into looking into her (his) own drug dependency and get help. Perhaps her death will save lives. It really can happen to anyone.
