I would love to see support for the Tapatalk forum app which is available on both Android and iPhone... There are a few forum software that support it natively, but if the WP software doesn't maybe it could be hacked in?
Not the current version, unfortunately - it's far too old.

Still in the no-mobile-version camp, but playing devil's advocate...
Any version of WP aimed at a specific device type would probably be accessed by a small extension to the existing URL - some sites do this by prefixing "m." to the start of the URL, so: m.wrongplanet.net while others may append something, like: wrongplanet.net/mob so usage of any device-related tweaks remains entirely optional, with the "unmolested" layout always being available as wrongplanet.net
Aside from layout considerations and allowing the easier implementation of controls more suited to touch-screen devices, mobile or tablet-specific versions of websites tend to use a much "lighter" design style to minimize the download burden on the remote device. Mobile data rates are expensive compared to typical land-locked accounts and the speeds are also considerably slower.
