Yes, and sometimes doctors just want to take care of their friends at the pharmacy.

Don't you ever feel a certain weakness about having to depend on so many drugs just to (almost) function like a normal person?

No I doubt its a money thing. Its More parents need real help with their kids and the doctors write rx only. You should see my 3 and 4 year old nephews they are getting physcially violent. I'm trying to get them on a high omega-3 diet but its slow to find
anything they will eat high in omega-3.

I almost failed Chemistry.

If I saw a psychiatrist during one of my bad years, I would probably come home with a pocket full of prescriptions.

Also, my heart is probably stronger than yours.

No, I took Geology and Geology II. (The teacher was hot.)

In 10th grade, when I was a different person, I took Chemistry and finished the year with a 72. I did not care much for molarity and molality and -ates and -ides.

Maybe but I'm about to walk my dogs 5 miles and that will include running as fast as I can for atleast a 1/3 of that and walking at an uncomfortable fast pace the rest. :D

Yeah there is a stigma to mental health and drug to treat them but its really no diffenerent than taking a pill for high blood pressure when extreme exercise and diet may do the job. But sometimes they want reduce blood pressure and one needs a pill
to avoid the damaging effects of high bloodpressure on your oragans.

But it's also fun to try and confront your problems head on. If not for my problems, life would be a bit boring.

5 miles? That's a lot of running. I'm getting sweaty and uncomfortable just thinking about that.

well I doubt anybody would say there meds are solving their problems its more like when you you take cold meds for your cold. You feel better but still your not fine.
I doubt meds are preventing anyone from taking pro-action to improve their lives. In
fact the last time I was on a very high does 20mg of reboxetine I did alot of work
in one week on a computer controlled metal cutting machine i was building in my spare
time after work but when I ran out of reboxetine I have not done anything on it in about 1 year(yet spent several thousand on it )

You're still my brother from another mother.

However, to quote Mr. Mackey, "Drugs are bad. There's a time and place for everything, and it's called college."
