He seems interesting, but I have never heard a song by his band or watched any of the films he has starred in.

I read a short interview with him last year and it was an interesting read. Because he does not follow trends and like to keep himself individual. Which is good.

My favourite male musician thought would have to be Nick McCabe. And maybe... Thomas Newman. They're both great.

My pick has to be David Gilmour. Great singing voice, keen sense of melody, and he's the only guitar player I've heard who can move me with his solos.

Syd Barrett, it is obvious.
For firing dormant neurons in my brain.

I thought about his singing voice today, actually. And I couldn't pick between his or Roger's vocals. I love both.

Hm... Solos... I don't like many. I like Jimmy Page's guitar solo in "The Song Remains The Same". And David's solo in "Comfortably Numb". But then again, most bands I listen to don't have many solos really...

I LOVE the guitar in "Astronomy Domine".

Great sound, simple and effective. By the way, I am discussing the lyrics of this song in another forum... any thoughts pm me!
