Just wanted to say hello. I just signed up. I was diagnosed a few weeks ago and I'm learning things so fast my head is spinning, and I'm looking to connect and figure things out. I'm 32, so I've known something was different my entire life, but had no idea what. Just figured I should keep a lid on it before they locked me up in a nice padded room and threw away the key... Believe me, the relief I feel knowing I'm not insane makes the diagnosis one of the happiest bits of news I've ever received. Anyway, nice to "meet" you, hope you don't mind if I lurk for a bit... I'm shy. :oops:

Welcome! I'm glad getting a diagnosis has been a happy thing for you. There is definitely a certain amount of relief in knowing that you're not just weak, or stupid, but that you struggle with something that simply isn't a problem for other people.

I used to live in DE, briefly - I really enjoyed the year I was there

Sounds like you're in the right place. I've been recently diagnosed myself and joined here a couple of days ago. So far everyone's been great. It's definitely one of the nicer places on the Internet.

Meh, Straightjackets aren't that bad. I don't ever plan on being in one ever again, Long story and no I didn't kill anyone. LOL
