choice in gender selection

This may seem nit picky, but it would really help if there were more choices than Male or Female in the Gender category of the profile section of this website.

Or at least make 2 sections, one for biological sex and one for gender.
I myself would like to see androgyne added to the list.

I agree. It seems a lot of people on here feel less "binary" than the general population (from what I've read so far.)

There was a similar issue to this on the site DeviantArt a short while back. They put "Gender" when what they really meant was "Sex." They first had three options- "Male", "Female," and "Prefer Not to Disclose." People were fine with that... But then they suddenly decided to remove "Prefer Not to Disclose." It caused an uproar. The pressure built up until the site decided to just change the word to "Sex" and give three options- "Male", "Female", and "Other." It's been like that since then.

I personally don't care what gender I'm considered. I like to say that my gender is "apathetic", because I feel absolutely no drive to be particularly labeled as male, female, or anything else- whatever you want to call me, I'm cool with it. But ever since the DA fiasco happened, I've been much more aware whenever I see only two options on websites. Therefore it does bother me that we don't have an alternative option on here. A lot of people are getting put into an awkward spot where they aren't really comfortable choosing one way or the other, and I don't like that.
