I don't think that the words "healthy" and "fast food" should ever appear in the same sentence. I mean... McDonald's? Healthy? You can bet that there is both sugar and MSG in the scrambled eggs, which are very unlikely to be organic free-range eggs.

They might also contain preservatives, seeing that a lot of McDonald's "food" is pre-cooked and preserved in a processing plant and only heated up in the individual "restaurants". And the English muffin is made from refined wheat flour, which makes it about as healthy as three lumps of sugar. Sorry, but I can't take that article serious.

Soak oats in kefir over night, stick em in a box or a jar and take with. Add some honey and cinammon if you're fussy.

I know this isn't breakfast, but chipotle is supposed to be one of the healthier fast food places, and it tastes really good. Walked over there for dinner.

*Huge* calories though, really no worse than a Bic Mac and fries but still, its something like half your day's intake. The thing I found out recently that shocked me as well - most sushi is really bad, a couple tasty rolls (12 pieces), just enough to satiate you for a meal, can easily take you up to 800 or 900 calories.

Calories don't mean much in isolation.

If you get a lot of calories along with a lot of micro nutrients, then you won't have to eat so much. You'll feel full.

If the calories come with no micro-nutrients (vitamins, minerals), that's when you get the problem. i.e. big mac and fries, processed foods.

900 calories of sushi and seaweed is much better for you than 900 calories of big mac and fries.

The reason why low fat food (and therefore low calorie) make you fatter is because, generally, the micro-nutrients are actually contained within the fats in whole foods. So your body wants to eat more food, because it needs those essentials, and isn't getting it.

ROFL @ this list.
Just order a damned salad or some fruit and stop pretending eggs and bagels are a great way to start off your day.

Yeah, I forgot people have pretty strong opinions on the topic.

I think the main aim of my OP was - if you're stuck without options here's a way to find some of the lessers of the evils out there. I'd agree these aren't optimal choices.

Mmm...yes but I don't get the impression that the effects on hunger are necessarily 'far and away' different. From my own experience 1000 calories of Chipotle and 1000 calories of Big Mac & Fries over a six hour period satiate me pretty close to the same amount. 1000 calories of sushi would leave me feeling hungry immediately afterward but given maybe about half an hour or an hour that hunger would subside (did last time I went there) and it seemed to hold me for a good several hours.

I mean I'd agree, clearly, if a person tries to diet and eats too much of one thing at the expense of others they'll probably start feeling sick, at the same time though aside from skipping nutrients I don't know where there'd be a huge effect. This might be more reason for someone who's dieting to start their day having a glass of V8 Fusion or something like that with their oatmeal in the morning but aside from that if they're going light for lunch and dinner I don't think they'll hit the dieting rocks if they don't spend upward of $8 for lunch and dinner at the local Whole Foods. I've been doing single Hot Pocket lunches and they seem to do the trick well enough.

I've noticed that with myself the less I eat the less hungry I am, and it works so long as I do it slowly and make sure I'm not getting too crazy with it. Good example: back when I was 19 I was taking myself off of antipsychotics and antidepressants after eight years of them wreaking havoc on me. I weighed 220 lbs and it was a lot of fat rather than muscle. I was able to get myself down to six pack abs or at least four pack within a year by only eating when I was hungry and then only eating until I was content; that sent my body into a spiral where I could eat less and less, really be filled up by one taco. The only downside with taking that too far was that my blood sugar got touchy, as of right now I'm doing something close to that and aiming for 1500 to 1800 calories per day (light breakfast, light lunch, semi-light dinner, and small snacks between) - seems like it can work.

The only sad news: I probably gained 2 pounds in the last couple nights. Going down to Ohio State University, hitting the bars with my friends all day and practically drinking myself sober probably got me a good 11,000 calories in 2 days - needless to say I'll be avoiding that scenario and trying not to drink a drop for several weeks just because - alcohol is huge calories not to mention it makes you hungry for some rather greasy, nasty food.

Holy cow. Yeah, I guess in light of that, eating some processed food for breakfast or a Hot Pocket for lunch is probably not really a big deal for you in the grand scheme of things, lol.

I think you have to eat 2 slice of bread with an egg and a glass of milk.
These help to get energy for the whole day and specially when you are during flight.
You can also demand healthy foods from air hostess.

Um are you being sarcastic?

On the fly= on your way to work, or are in a hurry.
