It's still quite cheap to get to Liverpool from Belfast and Dublin isn't it? :)

If I was flying to Belfast I'd use Blackpool but I believe the Liverpool airport gets a lot of Irish business from both jurisdictions.

By air yes, by boat no. I know one guy who lives in Belfast & works in Liverpool, he told me its cheaper for him to fly in & out over the weekends as that's what he does & stays in a hotel over the week days. As he does a five day a week job.

Well the low cost airlines love John Lennon airport, EasyJet only does Belfast were as Ryanair does Dublin.

I take it you can get decent stout. Where do you live?

If you're the sort of guy that likes stout with cigars, you'd probably love imperial stouts.

I know. Draught Guinness is often quite bland and tasteless. That's why I bought the FES version instead.

The same applies to me.

I found that it was cheaper to fly to Aldergrove and hire a car than it would be to drive up to Stranraer taking our own car.

I've never had Killian's. Is it just like a lager? I've had most of the Guinness beers, as well as Whitewater, Hilden (both from Northern Ireland) and Murphy's (brewed in Cork) and also Carlow's stout (brewed in Carlow). Oh, and Harp (produced in Dundalk) but that tastes like crap though.

Next time I'm on the island, I might cross the border and go to Porterhouse.

I'll be honest, I'm not much of a beer drinker. I like harder stuff. Vodkas and whiskeys, mainly. But there are only a few beers that I will drink. Killian's is one of my favorites. Also, Guinness, Heineken... and that's about it. So I don't really know what to tell you about Killian's, except that I like it. And it's not as bitter and heavy as Guinness.

I just had my friend over and we shared a large cooler. We were just hanging out, talking and listening to music. I'm just relaxing now, I'm having a big party at my house next Friday so we decided to take it easy tonight.

I've made some green Jell-O mixed with a super sized Rockstar energy drink and ate that all afternoon. :)

It was pea green. :P

So far, I have played rugby, went to a party, and slept for the last four hours. I also wished my mom a happy birthday. :)

Guinness usually, in New England. I have found a few others, but never consistently. It's usually some special buy the local grocery managed to get. Guinness is the only one I can always find, but a lot of stores only have the stupid draught version with that annoying "torpedo" in the bottle. Stuff give me an instant headache the same way every American beer does.

I think, if I remember correctly, one of the special buys I mentioned was an imperial. I can't drink dark beers too often. They're a little too heavy for more than once in a while. For me at least.

Wonder if it's supposed to be the same as what they export to here. I bet it's different. Usually the alcohol content is less here due to our dumb ass regulations. Our Canadian imports aren't even the same as they are over the border. Far better up there. I wish I still lived close enough for weekend trips to buy cases like I used to years ago.

The FES version is 7.5%, and is brewed - to varying strengths and recipes - across much of the world. It's most popular in Africa. In fact, Nigeria drinks more Guinness per capita than any other country except Ireland itself.

Absolutely nothing different from any other day.

I find holidays to be pointless. I really don't understand why people celebrate them.
They are pretty much only good for a day off of school/work, that's all.

We don't have St. Patricks day here >< To be honest we don't have a lot of fun things around this time.
