Now that I've been officially diagnosed with AS, I am free unbuckle my seatbelt and move about the site. I hear wonderful things about the comraderie among the users of WP. Getting diagnosed with something and being given a label used to be more of an excuse for not being "normal" than, as is viewed these days, as gaining a sense of identity. I say this particularly after 47 years of struggling with being weird and not knowing what was making me different. I embrace my weirdness now, and unlike the way I used to not share common interests with others (typical for AS), I hope people see my art work on the site. It reflects some of my greatest struggles as well as positive inspirations.

I am glad that you have been diagnosed - it is a relief, isn't it? I had a whole psychological test, and believe me, it did solve my problems, and give me advice! I will look at your artwork.

Hi ShirtPuppet and welcome to WP.

Looking forward to seeing your art. I paint too but am still at the learning stage. My favourite trips out are visiting art galleries.

Hope you enjoy it here.
