Well for one, most the homophobic women I've met are not WBC members nor religious cooks either. I've met plenty of "liberal" straight women who are very fond of gay men, but homophobic towards lesbians. So you cannot simply explain their attitudes away by their religious beliefs. You see, I live in a city(Seattle) where <<50% of the population is religious. And I've never met a single WBC member around these parts.

You still do not know their motivations however. So them not being WBC does not matter (I only gave them as an example of an extreme). Homophobia is a lot more than just distaste. I do not find the concept of men having sex particularly appealing. Many heterosexual women probably feel the same. How do you know the women you are using in this example are not part of the <50% religious demographic? Homophobic women are also a minority, and there is a fair chance they are part of that religious demographic.

What evidence do you have that women in seattle who are homophobic towards lesbians are part of the religious demographic? Furthermore, your theory of religiously motivated homophobia doesn't hold water when it comes to straight women who are accepting of gay men but intolerant towards lesbians. AFAIK, religion tends to disapprove of ALL forms of homosexuality, not just gayness. You also totally WRONG that straight women find male homosexuality to be distasteful. It turns out that there is a big market for gay porn among women(as in adult videos and erotic fiction) just as lesbian porn is quite popular with men.

I quite clearly stated in my last post that homophobia is a lot more than distaste. Distaste is not homophobia. Chances are they are "intolerant" for the same reasons straight males act this way, which is a matter of distaste. Homophobia is a way bigger deal than just not liking somebody's lifestyle, it is a deeply ingrained hatred

However I was not saying women find man on man sex unappealing but women on women for similar reasons a heterosexual male would find sex between two men unappealing
