I like wearing shoes bigger than my feet. Maybe only 1/2 to 1 size bigger for sneakers and loafers, but up to 3 sizes bigger for clogs and slippers. I just like roomy shoes to wiggle my toes. I wonder if this is an aspie thing? My mom's horrified about my large shoes, says they not only make my feet look so big, but might hurt my toes. I thought how can they hurt my toes? Maybe if I wear heels? I do have one pair of heels for special occasions. They're exactly my size (7.5) and fit snugly. Other than that all the other shoes are bigger.

What about you? Do you like your shoes roomy, too? :)

Yes, but not out of choice :D

I have a size 13.5 EEE in US shoe sizes, and that equates to having to choose between a 13 and a 14. I almost always will choose the larger size (helps with width as well) except when it comes to sports and athletics footwear like climbing shoes, running shoes, etc. Flip-flops I abhore having two small a platform for my feet, so I tend to get the larger size if I have options.

I'll only wear big shoes if I like a pair of shoes and the store has none of my size. I'm a 6 1/2 in womens and a 5 in kids/mens, so finding shoes that I like that fit me perfectly is a challenge sometimes, especially because I still go to Kid's Foot Locker for my shoes.

Not possible for me to wear them too big. My feet are too big, so it's hard to find ones that fit, and that don't have a rough seem inside the back heel. My feet are long, and wide, and the top over the arch, which I call the bridge, is very high, so it is hard to find something that will go over my high bridge, and is wide enough, too. I no longer know what size I am in women's wear, as I was having too much trouble finding foot gear that fit. I don't like girlish styles anyway, so I get men's wear now. My men's slippers are 9/10, and my running shoes are either 10 1/2 or 11. I do have older foot gear that I don't wear any more, as they no longer fit. With some people, their feet can keep on growing. That's what happened to me. Unfortunately, I am not also growing vertically. Last time I was measured I was 5 foot and 2 inches--down from a high of 5 foot 3 1/2. Haven't been to a doc for a while, so I may have lost more since then. Osteoporosis runs in the family on both sides.

Just call me Big Foot.

My shoes, the merrell trailglove, have more room than most shoes for your toes. I actually had to wear a size smaller than normal too so they would fit. I wear a 9 and had to buy an 8.

I usually have to wear shoes that are a little too big, otherwise they're not wide enough across the ball of my foot. Either that, or I have to have them custom made, because my feet are so wide.

I wear European size 34 shoes or size 4 Australian shoes I think, they're basically children sized shoes (yay cheap shoes). The size varies depending on brand

Yes, only because they never have my size. Mens 8 1/2 shouldn't be very hard to find.
It's the same with bras. I'm a girl.

But bigger sized shoes won't give you enough support and can bend your foot out of shape and hurt your toes. Wait until you actually do some real exercise in them and you'll see. I have flat feet so everything hurts my feet and I have a bunion big toe. Ouchy.
The wideness of my feet are very annoying too.

I prefer them slightly on the tight side as they offer more support for walking and don't annoy me by feeling like they're falling off my feet all the time.

I don't like loose shoes. I prefer snugness and I wear a size 10 or 9 1/2 in women shoes.

Shoes do seem to fall off my feet easily. Although I think that's just the shape of my feet. Because snug shoes slip off, too. I don't quite understand why. I've traced my feet on paper before and they actually look round and fat, not narrow at all. One of my sons has my foot shape and his shoes slip off easily as well. The other one has feet that are hard, bony and narrow. His shoes never fall off. I'm utterly confounded about that.

I like to slip into my shoes. I don't really like shoes that I need to tie.

Unfortunately. I can never find any shoes that fit well. I have very small feet, and even when I look through the children's shoes I can't seem to find a well-fitting pair. I think I'm somewhere around 4-6 depending on the shoe. -.-

Never, they have to fit me perfectly, not tight either. If they were too big, they'd rub up and down and hurt or slip off.
