By now, everybody has heard of the Occupy movements (Wall Street, Washington, courts, girls' locker room, etc.), but since there is no central leadership, and since each group is "occupying" different things, it's hard for me to know exactly what their aims are.

What are their aims?

I am not even sure how to answer this because some people just like to protest with out having a true cause.

From what I gather, to resist disproportionate representation in favor of corporate entities. From a top-down perspective, the argument is that since corporations can be treated as people, can donate unlimited funds to campaigns and have access to lobbyists that can hold their own in Congress, they gain a ton of voting power as long as money talks. The result is that wealth equates directly to political power, which threatens diverse representation.

What are their aims?

1) Get high
2) Live in their own piss and landfill-like conditions.
3) Increase the stock prices of Mace Security International and Taser International.
4) Provide the cops with target and batting practice.
5) Give democratic congressmen press coverage before they leave to attend a high roller wall street fundraiser.

That makes a lot of sense. I don't see any immediate resolution though. Maybe the way to do it is to eliminate paid lobbyists. I can only imagine the amount of taxes it would take to fund the policing of that policy were it enacted.

They're holding a public wake for the American Dream, which died back in the 1980s (although some say it's been dead since the 1960s).

I forgot one: Fight the rich by temporarily shutting down workplaces that hire lots of blue-collar union longshoremen, reducing the HOURLY workers' paychecks.

Most importantly, they are serving to ease the storage burden on police forces through their role as tear gas and pepper spray disposal

The reason the unemployment rate is so high is because the OWSer's won't get a job, MWAHAHA.
