Um no, a young hot man is to a woman what a young hot woman is to a man. Women are visual too. It's not unreasonable for her to go after a tall handsome man her own age, It's a little unreasonable in just my opinion for old men to chase barely legal skirt.

Both is very reasonable from a biological perspective. Ageing men don't lose their ability to procreate, and increased wealth / social status might turn elderly men into more attractive partners than their younger competitors. Women, on the other hand, have a limited reproductive lifespan, and have an increasingly smaller chance to birth healthy offspring towards the end of their reproductive window. It therefore makes sense that men feel attracted to relatively young women throughout their entire life.

women are able to have children until they are about 50. their eggs get old, but men are no better off as the quality of their sperm declines with age too.

most women don't consider wealth as a major factor in dating because they make their own money. and for most of human prehistory men didn't have any advantage in terms of resources. so from a biological perspective money is most likely irrelevant.

There were resource advantages, obviously. Who could eat the best part of the wild boar they just killed? Who got the prettiest beads, the nicest axe?
Decline of quality in their sperm means a younger woman might make up for some of the damage.

nawwwww it wasn't like that. most of the food was gathered, and the gathering was done primarily by females (though males also contributed). so women also had extensive access to resources. men made the axes for themselves, and people made their own jewelry.

you should do some research in this area. it is enlightening. it is only since the spread of agriculture that men were in control of women and resources. prior to that it was egalitarian.

It's true, studies show that the concepts of the strict monogamous and patriarchy had appeared with the rise of agriculture .
