Hi everyone. I recently somehow stumbled onto the topic of autism and Asperger's Syndrome; it's a topic I've looked into before, but as I read some of the more in-depth descriptions over the past few days, quite a bit of it seemed to apply to me rather easily. Some of it was a perfect fit and answered some questions that I've been asking myself for a long time. I'm not yet current on a lot of the material available on AS or autism, but I plan to learn more in the near future. I'm surprised that in my past ramblings online that I didn't make the connections that I have recently. The light bulb finally came on for me. I wouldn't say that I'm certain that I have AS at this point, simply because I've learned to be skeptical and learn as much as possible before coming to any conclusion, especially one concerning identity. But, that said, I believe it is a rather likely possibility.

Not only have I noticed certain behaviors in myself that seem like good evidence to me, but my friends (what ones I have) have also noticed some of these characteristics in my behavior, some of which fit the descriptions I've found verbatim. In light of this new discovery, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I hope to learn more and meet like-minded others here.
