my boyfriend still hasn't accepted my relationship request and we have been together a year.

I don't dwell on that type of stuff. Really it doesn't matter.

Actually, that would bother me, because I wouldn't know if he was advertising himself to other people. I'd want my boyfriend to show off our relationship at least a little. Otherwise I'd be a little suspicious.
