It's a dating site for geeks apparently.

I decided to make an account there several days ago out of boredom and it's been nothing but tumbleweeds so far. Is this what happens when you throw a bunch of stereotypically shy people into a room together? You get everyone looking at each other awkwardly but not saying hi?

Has anyone had any experiences with this site?

It's pretty desolate and I never bothered really doing much else beyond setting up an account. I simply see no reason to when most of the attractive girls turn out to be ads for russian mail order brides or escort services..

Yes. In fact, two former regulars got married to each other about a year or two ago. They even posted their wedding photos on here!

I think Geek2Geek would have an extremely high ratio of guys to women considering how guys are usually more geeky than woman & guy geeks have a harder time finding women than women geeks have finding guys.

I met my 2nd girlfriend on here by making a post but we broke up because our personalities were opposite in some ways. My current/3rd girlfriend PMed me after seeing some of my post

Also, JayShaw and seethaki got married and met here (those of you that were on WP during the early years might remember them). Also Renaeden and GalileoAce, also from the early years.

As did Mithratowen and BobTheMartian (regulars around 2008-09), and Ragtime and Mirror.

I remember them and their wedding photos, I have no idea if they're still together. Renaeden and GA aren't together anymore though.

Yes, my few romantic experiences here have been full of epic lulz . s**t was real though.
I actually had a 6 months relationship here in 2007 that nobody here even knew I had. I think I've only mentioned it a few times since.

I'm pretty sure I'm not alone though. There's been just as many negative relationship/dating experiences as positive experiences take place here on WP I'm sure. The happy ones are the only ones people want to hear.

Didnt intend it to sound like I thought your relationships were a joke but Ive seen you joke about those relationships a few times and thats what I was refering to
