Anyone know how to get in touch with Administrator ?

A moderator with a Napoleon Complex took out his anger on me and banned me from chat when it was two other people
causing disturbance.

This guy basically gave me an ultimatum and I told him the truth : " I have nothing to do with that " , and
perma-banned me from the chat which is a pretty harsh thing to do considering I haven't even done anything ! !

I would like to get back in touch with a few programmers I met in there and love to learn and network with people,
but I don't understand this irrational retribution this moderator seemed to mete out to me (and probably other folks too for all I know).

I tried contacting Alex about this but he's completely unreachable.
I just need a little help contacting the brass so we can clear this up, either that or I should just give this site up.
Why come to a website that's supposed to be free and open-minded when you get bullied like this ??

Seems like it's just more of the same.

The chat and the website are no longer linked(regardless of what it may look like considering that alex still has a link to the chat on here...)
With this being said the administrators take a glance here every now and then and hopefully you can talk with one of them soon.

That's a channel or chat operator, not a moderator. The two functions are entirely different and operate on different mediums.
IIRC the ChatOps on #wrongplanet have the same names on WrongPlanet.net so you could try PMing them - but otherwise, as spongy says, IRC and this website run independently from each other.

Just a quick quote to add to the discussion:

This would appear to be the original ban reason, and a later re-ban was served on the grounds of evasion of the original ban.

In short, obvious trolling is very different from 'not doing anything wrong', and disrespectful and/or ignorant language is not tolerated. Thanks for raising this, though. It gave me some research to do that helped pass some time.
