I have wondered whether the average aspie population believes in a higher being as much as the average NT. Please be specific if your religion isn't on this list, and you seriously follow it.

Personally, I don't believe there is a God. Why would such a God create miracles for people and suffering for the innocent? I believe if there was a God, the mean people would be suffering, while the nice people would be rewarded.

EDIT: The above paragraph contains hidden links. They're not obvious on WP^^

I think there's a god, but I think it has no gender and is more of a powerful force.

It's interesting that 20% of WrongPlanet members believe in Judaism, considering the fact that Jews make up only 0.2% of world's population. Could there be a correlation between the Jewish enthicity and AS? (I'm digressing here, so if it's too off-topic, don't worry about it.)

Forget I said this. I mentioned this when there were only a few votes. I guess it changed now.

lol, the percentages only pertain to those voting. I'm a Unitarian Universalist. We have no consensus theology, we originated from two different Christian denominations. The Unitarians were liberal Christians that didn't believe in the Trinity. The Universalists believed that everyone is going to heaven. They merged and took the theology out and so we have no Christian dogma at all. It's pretty much a humanist denomination that's insists on social justice, democracy and the like. However, statistically, the population is affluent and highly educated. That means socially, it's geared for upper class white people. I haven't been to a service since Martin Luther King Jr Day because the minister gave a racist sermon (imo) and everyone applauded her choice to adopt a Central American baby (it had a mom).
I haven't decided when I'll try another church (same denomination) again.

Well, I am agnostic, but I guess I can best agree with fundamental Christianity.

As for Gods sex? WHO CARES? By any measure, God has NO sex in Christianity, Judiasm, islam, etc... The Bible speaks of God in masculine and feminine terms, and says Gid is spirit.

As for the Jew/AS link, it currently says 7%, but that is with ONE user! Lets wait until it has 100+ before we take statistics somewhat seriously. BTW religion and heritage do NOT have a 1:1 correlation, ESPECIALLY with Judiasm, Catholic, Christianity, Islam, so such ties will NEVER be so simple!

"I once wanted to become an atheist, but I gave up - they have no holidays. " - Henny Youngman

I'm agnostic, since I don't know if there's a God (I don't think there's much proof either way). But if I had to pick I'd say I think it's more likely that there is no God. That's just my opinion, though, but maybe it's just because I've read many more arguments against than in favor, and they seemed more logical. I really enjoy philosophical discussions about this.
