Hey guys.

On another forum, I've taken part in an, in my opinion, quite enjoyable board game, so I thought I might as well try to introduce it here. The rules are pretty simple:

The basics is that a game leader (in the first round, that would be me) asks 5 questions, mostly based on "name a whatever" (for instance, "Name a Tour de France winner" - it doesn't have to be cycling-related, though). Every participant then sends a PM to the game leader with his five answers.

The game leader (by the way, is that the correct expression? it doesn't sound right but I didn't find any better words) then evaluates the answers and assignes points. For each question, you get as many points as the number of other players who gave the same answer. Let's take the question from above:

For instance, 15 players participated, and these are the answers:

10x Lance Armstrong
3x Eddy Merckx
1x Jan Ulrich
1x Bjarne Riis

So everyone who answered Lance Armstrong gets 10 points for this question, the Merckx guys get 3 points and so on.

The answer you give doesn't have to be "correct" for the respective question. You're allowed to write "Germany" for a country in Central America for example. I wouldn't make much sense, of course, but what I want to show with this example is that if you think that you're actually with stupid and most people will name the Atlantic Ocean as a river, you're of course allowed to name that

Usually, one game consists of 5 rounds, the player with most points added up wins and is the new game leader (unless he doesn't want to).

I hope, the rules are clear. If not, don't hesitate to ask. Of course, the more people participate, the more fun it is.

Alright, so here's the first round:

I'm with stupid: 1814's Round 1

Let's start with a simple one.

1. Name city in the USA.

2. Name a common pet.

3. Name something you have in your home.

4. Name a car brand

5. Name a form of contraception

You have one days to PM me your answers (please use IWS or I'm with stupid as the subject), so the gates close at July 26, 2 PM EST.

It hasn't, so far.

Is it that nobody understands the rules?

I think I understand. It can be summed up by :
- reply by PM to the questions
- you get more points if your answer is what the majority thinks

It's interesting.

Yes. Lets say that 10 people answer the same, all 10 get 10 points.

3. Name something you have in your home: food

4. Name a car brand: Renault

5. Name a form of contraception: emasculation

If there are only two players, there will always be a draw. Intuitively true, now ai wonder how could I prove that mathematically.

I agree Shatbat.

For each question, either both players have the same answer, so the get both 2 points, or they have a different answer and the get both 1 point. So the sum is equal.
