If you are, or thought about living with someone, perhaps in a relationship, would you prefer to sleep in the same room, or each person have their own room?

This may sound a little odd, but I think I would want to have my own space / room most of the time. We could be together in the living room of course , but I think I'd go into my own room too. It could be set up how I like, the other person could have theirs set up how they like it to be. It would be nice to have my own space every now and then, plus I am a sensitive sleeper.

I think you might have a tough time selling that one. What you've described sounds more like room mates.

I miss sleeping with someone.

I'd like a common sleeping space as well as for each person to have their own room that they can retreat to when they need to.
I'd go insane without a room that was mine and only mine.

Some guys will like a study or a "Man Cave" as a place to be alone.

Depends on the person.

I concur with this. I would like to have some sort of room that has all my stuff in it that I can go to for alone time. Sharing a bedroom wouldn't bother me though, if it was a serious relationship that is.

Me too.

I'd want to be w/ the other person, but I would need a private place to sleep if my insomnia got too bad. Sleeping apart at nite is better than arguing all day because I am tired and didn't get enough sleep.

I hate the idea of sleeping alone in a relationship but I'm more needy/clingy & affectionate than the so-called average Aspie & I occasionally suffer from sleep disorders & I would sleep better & have less anxiety with my partner. I would like a 2 bedroom place thou so that way we can be in separate rooms when one of us wants alone time.

I'm not sure.

Sometimes i've thought i could manage sleeping with someone if i had slightly more space than seems usual. I don't mind being in the same bed as someone and all that, and can stand the noise and movement they make ( and i think it could even get to the point where i couldn't sleep unless that person was there and making their usual noises and movements and etc), just it's the restrictive parts of being in a bed with someone that i don't like, the double quilt is a silly thing to have to share when you're sleeping, it ruins the way i like to wrap myself in my quilt and the way i turn and turn trying to find a cool spot.

I used to think i liked the idea of two single beds rather than a double bed, just that's changed and i think a better compromise would be to sleep in a double bed with someone but with like two single quilts rather than a double, which would give me my space but it'd keep them near at the same time.

I love to sleep in one bed with my partner. This is because I love it when I wake up and he's the first thing I see. I prefer not to hug or spoon while going to sleep though. I can never sleep while feeling constricted like that, I simply need my own half of the bed to sleep comfortably.

Apart from that it's good to have a room where you can enjoy some privacy and alone time for when you're both awake.

I want a "Woman Cave". :)
At the moment I live with my brothers and we all have our own bedrooms, so that works out well.

I think it's a good idea for everyone to have their own space in their home whether or not it's a bedroom (craftroom, workroom, etc.)

But for sleeping I don't mind sharing and being a college student this ends up being two people in a single bed fairly often. I like restriction for sleeping though. The S.O. ends up being a weighted blanket.
I also like the sense of security.

Having a study, couch, or spare room would be most handy for when sleeping with a person gets too much.

I like to have my own room in the daytime, but my own bedroom at night would kinda ruin the sex life...
