Hello:

I am having a day where I am hungry and I am afraid to eat because I had a hive show up after something I was afraid to eat earlier. I don't know if anyone else goes through this? I am also not sure if I want to eat the canned meat my husband used for supper as I did not examine the can first. Does anyone else go through this? Food h***. I need to eat something. I'm feeling very tired. I'll probably have some cereal - I am just circling the supper and I hate going through this "I should eat this" because it is wasteful not to do so and yet I don't know if I can make myself eat or if it is worth the anxiety at all.

Hi, luvisorange:

Orange is a beautiful color! Thanks for answering. No, I'm not skinny - like you, I get migraines. I have to eat something or I get sick. Eating can just be such agony. I'm glad to know someone gets what I am saying - thank you. My dad always pushed me - until I threw up - and still teases me about my fears and sensitivities - I'm middle-aged and he still bugs me. I'll bite into some meat and he'll say: "This tastes funny" - and then he'll laugh at my reaction and point it out for days. I don't know what gives him such a kick. My husband is pretty good - he tries. If I say too much he gets tired of it, too though - I'm usually on my own with it. I've never had a good time with food. I've never had anyone understand.

It is nice to meet you and thank you very much, LM

There are many days when the sight or smell of food will make my stomach knot up. It's gotten harder to eat when I'm supposed to, and some days I'll barely eat because my stomach doesn't feel like doing anything. Shittake mushrooms are horrible. If I eat anything with them in it the taste overwhelms everything else and it lingers in my mouth for hours. I can't eat anything after that.

Many times, just watching a tv ad for a restaurant will make my stomach. I like eating, I enjoy the taste and texture and smells, but for some reason my stomach and my brain are not always on the same page.
