The test assesses five different areas. Autistic-like responses will show poor social skill, attention switching, communication and imagination, and an exaggerated attention to detail. In other words, geekiness. You scored 38. The ranking below provides some idea of where that AQ fits in.

I got a 40, which is kinda odd. One of my section leaders says she doesn't really notice my symptoms that much. I guess that means either I'm improving, or I'm just getting better at masking my AS. But I usually score somewhere in the forties with this quiz.

Why do people even take these online tests? They only focus on one vague stereotype and I know a few Aspies who would probably have scored under ten in this quiz!

I'm also uncomfortable with the page's persistent use of the word "suffering".

I've taken it a few times, and have scored as low as 28 or as high as 41. Strange.

I hate the AQ, it centers on one AS stereotype ( the SBC stereotype ) and the way it's scored is dumb.

SBC is short for Simon Baron Cohen, the leading person in autism research from Cambridge,UK.
