Are you a lone gamer? Or do you like playing with others?

I prefer playing by my lonesome. I prefer the immersion of singleplayer, and I find that having other people around takes me out of the experience.

I hate gaming infront of other people so the answer is obvious. Yes, I like to play by myself. Nothing wrong with that. I'm kind of a loner as is.

Alone is the only way to really enjoy activities like gaming.

I used to play regularly with someone else online. If he was online we would immediatly request the other to join the game.

Agreed - plus most online kids tend to be jerks who enjoy ruining the fun for others.

Funnily enough, it's usually young adults acting like kids/jerks and not the actual kids causing the problems.

I always liked multi player games for the supposed teamwork or competition, and also sometimes enjoy the social aspect of it. I don't really socialize much on things like teamspeak since I'm usually too tired for it. I like single player too but find it too time consuming.

Only stuff like strategy games or pvp or dungeons in an mmo, but only if I REALLY know the people.

I've done my fair share of online gaming with others. After a while though I can find the talking as socially taxing as in real life. So primarily, I play alone.

I enjoy Multi-Player-Online games because it's more fun that way. In MMOFPS, we can form groups, work together, and form gameplans to get the upper hand on the other team. To outsmart real people is so much more fun than the AI. In MMORPG it's the same, except certain game mechanics are different, and it adds depth to the game when there is a online community for many reasons. I used to enjoy a lot of single player games, but now they are just boring and predictable, except for a small number of them. I start feeling very alone if I play most single player games for awhile.

Yeah thats pretty much how I feel too. Even single player is more fun in coop.

Most fun I've ever had in a game was online in Alien Vs Predator 2 or world pvping in WoW before Cataclysm. I don't agree with every game being better in co-op though, or at least how every game now is made with online in mind.

I like playing multi-player with one or more people in the same room as me. I'm not sure if it's for the company or the competition. Unfortunately, nobody wanted to play with me as a kid, and as I got older, there were pretty much no games like this being made anymore. I don't like playing MMO's with strangers, so I would rather play alone in that case.

I prefer to physically be by myself while playing games. I love online gameplay but I only use a Nintendo DS for online play and there is no verbal communication used like on the 360 or PS3.
