If you go by the Good News translation, he seems to have a loop-hole.

He obviously isn't related to his stepdaughter, so there was no incest. I'm guessing that the original Hebrew is closer to King Jimmy's translation above.

I'm guessing that, according to modern ethical standards: she had reached the age of consent, they were unrelated, so fair game.
