Damn, I forgot about what was happening in the UK and the rest of Europe.

I blame you and your relatively more stable government now for being less newsworthy, thus keeping me less informed.

So you're the one who watches Fox news! That explains everything. ;-)

 To be fair, I was also watching the US midterms on CNN too.
Heck, I even watched a bit of GB News during the whole Liz Truss premiership saga.

I blame you for the state of the world's media.

Not any good news channels left in the UK. I tend to watch Aljazeera news as it gives world news, Sky news follows in second place and the BBC news is a washout, very parochial and lots of inexpensive journalism on "human interest stories" - they drag some poor sod in off the street to moan about their woes. At the moment all the channels are world cup crazy so hardly watch the news at all at the moment. I blame you and Scott Morrison for all the trouble.

Oi, we voted out Scott Morrison in May – or at least his government. Not that I minded ScoMo much personally, but his party was dragging its feet on climate change action for far too long, and they paid the price politically. It's a bit weird seeing former PMs on the backbenches though.

I blame you for the BBC filing Australian and NZ stories under "Asia" – not "Asia-Pacific" or even "Australasia", just "Asia". And even though I've actually enjoyed reading a few of their "human interest stories", I'd also like them to focus a lot more on important international news. Please, and thank you.

I blame you for carrying a machete, wearing a cowboy hat with corks dangling from it and having a liking for wrestling crocodiles.
