I read some of these anti-parent rants and I wish I could share my folks with some of you. Yeah, they occasionally did stuff that pissed me off when I was a teenager, but I'm sure a lot of my behavior at the time pissed them off just as much.
Being a parent myself now makes it easier to see things from their perspective.
Me too,
Although i did have privacy problems in my teen years, my mum seemed to be onto everything i did, she even found porn magazines in a speaker box that had the back screwed on, and when i was at school, and got letters from chicks, and put them in my letters from chicks box, they were always getting put back out of alphabetical order. a bit of privacy wouldn't have hurt and may have made me slightly less rebellious towards my her, i also felt to scared to talk about anything with her becuase i didn't know what she knew and didn't want to bring things up.
any way, being a parent isnt easy, while kids want to do everything they want to do, we have to give up almost everything we want to do for our kids, some of us parents used to go ou to the pub, go to parties and cruise around the steets at night till our kids were born, we found out what mistakes we can make as teens and have a good idea of what not to do wich can help keep you ending up somewere you dont want to be.
teens say adults are from a different generation but the only main differences in teen culture is the music and technology.
