I will have a thread about the book of the same name in the future, but here, let's focus on the recent movie.
---
I had the opportunity to watch this film on the day before what woulda been Dr. Seuss's birthday. It's a very funny film, but at the same time has a strong underlying message to it.

It's nice that we get to see the Onceler's face for the first time; the original book did not show it. I would heartily recommend this film to anybody.

I enjoyed the film, but don't think it lived up to its potential. It could have been better if it didn't have the O'hare subplot and instead focused on the Onceler's transformation into a greedy villain. I mean the majority of the book was pretty much focused on the Onceler destroying the forest, the movie crammed the whole thing into a 3 minute song but stretched out that pointless O'hare stuff for like 20 minutes.
