Asking girls out without making them feel weird??

I have this issue with women. I dont know how to gauge their interest level like I can with men.

I cannot tell if they are even remotely thinking of me in more than a passing "she is a nice person way" so when it comes time for me to step up to the plate and express and interest in them, I dont know how to approach it in a way that wont weird them out in case they arent into females or just arent into me. I dont want either one of us to feel really awkward, any advice??

Try to befriend somenone quite well before you ask her out. Then you can predict if it's going to work or not
