Yep..... my favorite time of year is here. The (North American) Holiday Trifecta. For the US, it's Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in that order, but reverse the first two in Canada.

Tell us some your favorite things about this time of year. :D

I love Christmas and December. I also enjoy turkey, Christmas music (I might actually take a break from The Kinks some days), dressing up for the Halloween dance at my clubhouse, candy and being together with my family. :) I also like to get in the spirit of giving, as well. :santa:

Today is a holiday in Brazil: the Day of our Lady of Aparecida. It is also Children's Day, because commerce needs some reason to get money.

Anyway, I have nothing to do on weekends or holidays. I am very bored now, and I will be like this until Monday, when I will finally go to work.

I really need to find something to do with my life...

Holidays are frustrating to me. It's time off work, but everything is closed, so there's nothing to do. I don't have much in common with most of my family or my in-laws, so sitting around with them is difficult. And all the money-grubbing advertising hype makes me burned out on Christmas long before it gets here.

I usually enjoy the Holidays because I give myself a break from my usual rigid and judgmental mindset. I wouldn't want to be this easy to get along with all the time, but for a few weeks it's kinda nice.

I love christmas but halloween is a close second. I'm not really too fond of thanksgiving.
I like how its cold around these times of the year. If these holidays were in the summer, they just wouldnt be the same.

I always get excited for halloween, and start planning my costume and where I am going to go, along with how Im going to decorate. But lack of friends kinda puts a damper on it for me, because I dont want to show up somewhere alone and stuff its just awkward.

And when I do go out, I end up easily bored because I want to drink but not too much and dancing is only going to hold my attention for a little bit.
I really liked my ex coworkers halloween parties she put on. Her sons and there friends happened to actually like me and we would go around and do random things. Like go through the haunted forest they created every year, play video games, play with fire, shoot fireworks and rockets off, terrorize each other, watch movies, and after some of us turned 21 drink a little too. Other than that though I tend to either work or sit at home on Halloween.

Thanksgiving is Meh to me, just a big meal nowdays, in fact I plan on getting a room or crashing at my bfs place thanksgiving down south of where I am at just to go black friday shopping.

Christmas is nice, I like getting people things and seeing them open their gifts and use them and be happy. I also happen to like getting gifts from people too so that works out nicely.

I love almost everything about the holiday season! The Thanksgiving Day Parade, pumpkin beard, seasonal changes, gifts, family, friends, Christmas trees, Christmas commercials, and New Years Eve! There's so much that goes on that it makes me really excited :D

I love the holidays. It's hard to say if I like Thanksgiving or Christmas more than the other, I like them both equally.

However, the only parts of Thanksgiving I don't like is going to Thanksgiving Mass at church; it's at 9 in the morning and Thanksgiving Day Mass is just as crowded as Mass on Easter Sunday. My sister and I would rather say our Thanksgiving Day prayers in the comfort of our home & watching the Thanksgiving Day parade, rather than going to church with our controlling, paranoid mother. My sister and I also don't like it if the three of us are invited to the neighbor's house of Thanksgiving dinner. We prefer having a quiet Thanksgiving dinner, as being with one's own family is much better than hanging around with neighbors and people you don't know very well.

This year, there is a possibility my disabled uncle may join the three of us for Thanksgiving. That's something my sister and I are not looking forward to if he does visit.
