Hi everyone,
I just had a diagnostic assessment and have been diagnosed with AS at the age of 41. I've been visiting the forum for a while, and have now decided that the time has come to become an official member. The site is a valuable source of information and a good place to exchange ideas and opinions.
My interests are learning languages and music, particularly progressive rock, I would be glad to hear from anyone with similar interests.

Hi there. I like a bit of rock music. I write and record every now and again too. Do you play any instruments, Nesf?

I had a go at learning guitar at some point, but lost patience with it - I don't have a talent for it. Now I just collect and listen a lot, and try to discover new bands I like. I have about 1000 CDs and 3 terrabytes worth of music - this is where all my spare cash goes when I have it.

Hello, what languages do you speak? I can't speak a second language fluently (got no attention span!) but I have learnt quite a lot of German and a fair bit of Russian and Welsh. Probably not enough for a decent conversation though (except for German). I am also interested in music. I can play instruments; the keyboard, organ, guitar and fife, but I also collect CDs. I have all the now CDs from 27 until 82 (missing 79 though :x ). I also have loads of musical CDs and my favourite is Phantom of the Opera.
