Ok the people my age where I live all seem to like smoking, drinking, partying, sex, cussing there heads off(not literally), and just goofing off AND NOT studying/working(some do both). Now dont get me wrong Im not against this stuff, Im just tired of people trying to force me to do these things.

Are there any other things people my age do? I already work, go to school, play videogames, go dancing, play sports, music, some parties, church, fairs, some town events, etc. I dont do these things every day, but I was wondering...is this really a good social life compared to people my age(Im 20)? (Keep in mind I only have a few people over at my house, once in a great while, and I don;t go to peoples houses/call them/IM them just to hang out 24/7 like people my age SOMEHOW do)?

I suppose that depends on what you define as a 'good' social life. Are you happy with the amount you socialise and who you socialise with? If so, then you have a better social life that a significant portion of the people you describe.

^ This. Also, you really don't have to do what everyone else is doing, and there will always be people your age who choose not to do these things, and do activities like the ones you participate in. If people are pressuring you to do things that you don't want to do, it's time to find new people to hang around with.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

Im happy with my social life for the most part, however Im sort of tired and notice the differences between me and "normal" people my age. Most of them have boyfriends, girlfriends, married, have a good place to live, have kids, go to work, go to school, and STILL socialize.(Im referring to a successful few here, as tere are others who arent in school/work who have all of this!). It gets tiresome not having these things? Anyone else relate?

I noticed you mentioned interests but they are rather vague, perhaps being more specific with them and focusing on certain sports could help. Attending a gym on a regular basis and showing interest in one sport could help you to engage in friendships.

You will never build long lasting friendships if you keep jumping from place to place, you need to find something you enjoy, stick with it and build friendships based on mutual interest.

I like videogames, I like dance clubs, sportsclubs, etc.

That's a very vague comment, what type of games? What type of dance clubs? What type of sports?

Why would you want to be like everyone else anyway? If everyone were to act the same you would just be another number among the crowd. When I hear "normal" I tend to think of boring and bland. Besides, based on what you said in your first post your social life sounds pretty active to me. So I really don't see what there is to complain about.

It depends on the videogames and the people/designers. I pretty much like them all. I like LBPlanet, Mario, Legend of Zelda, DND Daggerdale, RDRedemption, Bioshock, Ratchet and Clank, Dragons Dogma, DragonAge, WoW, Myst, Witcher, etc. As for dancing well I like going out with friends, like squaredancing, hiphop, rock, going to school dances etc. As for Sports, I like being involved in them. I like Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Soccer, Kickball, Tennis, etc. Im not on any official teams persay now, but I do go to park evens where those are.
Does that help? Unfortuneatley I dont really get to "talk" with people, because Im so busy with school, work, church, or my parents are tired.(I cant drive yet).

Some normal people arent boring and bland, but I get what you mean. Some of them are really outgoing, smart, friendly, etc.
I dont really get to go out every day though. Im stuck either socializing afterwork, or just when Im in class/church. I havent gone out to a movie, or hung out with anyone in weeks due to school, events being late at night, and working extra hours.

I know I have a few appointments and am going to be driven nuts at a autism convention here in real life.(I have nothing against autistics, but when your(me)the only one who has a job, school and friends...it makes me start to wonder why I was diagnosed, and also makes me wonder if I possibly got the wrong diagnosis.)

Thanks for posting this, because it seems like the people my age where I live are into all the same things as the people your age where you live. And the people where I live who aren't into those things tend not to like me for some reason.

It's like the people who like me (or at least act like they do) are the same people who put me off, and the people who I think might be cool to hang around with are put off by me. Curious situation.

A 'good' social life to YOU is one where YOUR social requirements are, at the very least, met.
It doesn't matter if other people need to be IM'ing/whatsapping/FBing/calling/partying with all 500+ of their friends 24/7 to meet their social requirements..
You have no obligation to anyone to be more social than you want to be nor should you.

Don't feel forced, just do what you want and be happy.
I'd much rather be happy with myself but be considered a social outcast than try to blend in and be considered 'normal' but at the cost of my self-worth and self-respect.
