Basically what game do you find the scariest horror game.
Now for me... there are two...
One is SCP-087... the stairwell.
The other one is Slenderman.

Those two get me more than Resident Evil... Bioshock... Left 4 Dead... Silent Hill... Dead Space... Dead Rising...
Basically I am more scared by the two I listed and I only watched those two...

I am looking forward to the day SCP: Containment Breach goes to beta. I wonder if there's any way of stopping SCP-073 besides not ever blinking...

My high point for video-game horror would have to be the sequence in the Ocean House Hotel in Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines. The spooky music, the half-glimpsed figures running through the halls, the story you piece together from newspaper scraps and diary entries and a child's crayon drawing of Daddy-becoming-a-monster... the stuff exploding at random as you pass... that moment in an upstairs room when the lights go out, various objects pummel you, and when the lights come back up, something has carved "GET OUT" in the wall above the bed... There have been very few games that have made me jump, but this one managed it. (The hospital sequence started off like this too, especially the found footage of the reality-show crew disappearing, but it was, IMO, ruined when you not only found the monster responsible, but had a conversation with it, and even ran an errand to help it out.)

Yes, I did mean SCP-173 - sorry. SCP-073 isn't nearly as scary, although I do wonder what might happen if SCP-076 were to ever approach him (or, given that 073 seems to "reflect" damage back upon others, to the point that researchers can't even get a blood sample from him, what would happen to 173 if it attacked him...).

Nightmare House. A mixture of Half Life 2's Ravenholm mixed with Resident Evil and Silent Hill once you get to the hospital chapter.

Barney for the Sega Genesis.

I kept on trying to kill him, but the game insisted he should continue living. I tried holding his head under the water, but the game stopped me from doing that. I tried to get him to walk off the roof of a high-rise building, but the game stopped me from doing that.

Barney is immortal. That's a scary thought.

In no particular order..

Fatal Frame
Siren: Blood Curse (that nurse gave me the creeps)
Penumbra

There is a few others, but their names escape me right now.

I've not played Slenderman, but watched videos. I thought the bathroom place was safe until I came across one video where he popped up there. :o

The Shalebridge Cradle level from Thief 3, Deadly Shadows.

Scariest thing ever, nothing I've ever played since then has ever compared to it imo.

The original Half Life, back in 1998, now it's meh, but back then it scared the hell out of me.
