It's likely that:

1. They don't believe you.

2. They're more concerned with crimes of violence.

3. The people who are actually "hurt" by your activities have not filed any complaints against you.

4. They believe you to be merely seeking attention, just like those people who keep "confessing" to crimes that were solved decades ago.

For me to stop at a traffic light that stays red for 8 minutes would jeopardize my own safety or others'

Wrong.

Something that is illegal is illegal whether or not you get caught.

It is only unprosecutable until you get caught.

Comments like yours imply a lack of ethical aptitude.

Especially in an open internet forum.

Only if it is directed against a particular person, and not against a particular comment. Besides, even if it were a lie, it would still be only my opinion, and not a bannable offense.

Whether or not something is illegal or not is irrelevant unless you get caught. Then if you do that would f***ing suck I imagine.

What is ethical isn't dependant on legality.

Not according to WP rules.

Quote:
2. Personal attacks.
This includes insinuation, ridicule and personal insults, regardless of whether direct or indirect. Attacking an opinion, belief or philosophy is acceptable, but attacking the person making the comments is not.

It was clearly an indictment of the comment, not the commenter. That's perfectly acceptable.
