I've been chatting with this guy for a couple of weeks now.
Other than looking forward to his mails or the chats, I haven't really felt that I was particularly attached. But today he said that he didn't have time to chat as much and I got a horrible anxiety attack thinking that he didn't want to talk to me any more.
What the hell is wrong with me!! !! I hardly know this person! Why do I react this way?

Do you have other good things going on for you or was interacting with him the high point of your day? If he is the sole source of pleasure in your life then being anxious about not having as much time with him is understandable.

Hm, yes that is very true. My life has been quite a mess lately.
I'm surprised by this though because I have been alone for most of my life and never needed anyone. Maybe I just never let myself care about anyone, I don't know.

Having a lot of stress to deal with can make people look for diversions or distractions that can be as benign as new hobbies or as dangerous as substance abuse. That could very well be what is going on.

I don't necessarily think it's a female thing. More likely an aspie thing
Your probably right about that I thought I was the only one who gets like this.

I think it's an aspie anxiety / control thing. things change and you don't know why and you can't predict and you don't know if you've done something wrong.

Gah I hate it when that happens and you feel helpless too like a turtle on its back.

I can kind of relate to this...
When people are nice to me especially men/boys... I immediately think: " Booyaaah... found a new best friend ! !! !!"
They talked to me twice, adhere to the social standards of being friendly, and there I go, off like an idiot..
