There is some talk in GOP circles that his hurricane induced embrace of Obama was intended to subtly torpedo Romney and clear the way for a run in 2016; I prefer to think he was genuinely grateful for the aid to his ravaged state. I suppose time will tell.

I could not support Christ Christie. He would do nothing to eliminate the Federal Reserve or truly get the government out of the economy. I also do not think he would bring all of our troops home and stop the interventionist policies of our past. At his core, he appears to be a moderate with populist inclinations and, as a Libertarian, I could not back him.

I doubt he'll run. His embrace with Obama and refusal to campaign with Romney in the closing days will be held against him. That and he's a surly 350lb with a questionable record on conservative issues like gun rights. There is a decent chance he loses reelection next year as well.

The establishment favorite is Marco Rubio right now.

He isn't hard-core enough to be nominated by the Repugs. He would have a better chance running as a Democrat.

Of course, the whole country has become fatter in the past 100 years. Christie looks like the kind of guy you see piling on the carbohydrates at a buffet restaurant in the Upper Midwest. He must be diabetic.

Christie running for president could help to raise awareness of our obesity epidemic.

Except that he probably doesn't run anywhere any more. Maybe "waddling" for president would be more like it.
