There are such things as bagless vacuums. Also what would keep the bag together.

Maybe the universe is the bag, and all the planets and stars are the specks of dust and dirt. Ever thought of it that way?

Yes, but then what happens to all of the space litter left out there by the "developed" countries. Do we need a space shop vac?
