I've found that I'm obsessed with Nightmares, now. I look forward to going to bed, every night, because I never know what I'm going to dream about. I go right back to sleep after each Nightmare, because I can't wait to have another one. Is anybody else obsessed with Nightmares?

They fascinate me, but it's not a real obsession I guess. I prefer to read about living 'nightmares', such as serial-killers or giant tornados.
When it comes to real nightmares I'm mainly interested in how to overcome them through a method called lucid dreaming.

I've always loved dreaming, and I used to be obsessed with them for a while. Especially the scary ones! Then in the morning, I'd fantasize about them, and I'd always be so happy when I went to bed.

Sometimes the dreamscapes I visit each night, become more interesting than the waking reality. I often look forward to my dreams, even nightmares. I record them in a special dream journal, and often find meaning in them later on.

I am probably more obsessed with Dreams than Nightmares, though i do not think i am obsessed with either.

When i have a Dream (if i remember it) i will examine and try to place all the details, ie location, characters etc, and what it means, i will try and analyze every detail for as long as i can remember the Dream, or until i have another one that i remember.

I detest Nightmares and fear getting them, i got a lot when i was younger that i found interesting and exciting, but now i rarely get Nightmares, which i am thankful for, as they are extremely intense and disturbing. Now, when i wake up from Nightmares i have a panic attack and particularly disturbing ones have even made me, upon waking, physically sick.

I wonder if Stephen King is obsessed with Nightmares?

Don't start obsessing with nightmares; they're the worst. When I was a kid, I used to get nightmares at least a few times a week, and I was, literally, afraid of going to bed. Fortunately, they stopped around age 8. I had a nightmare a month ago, and I still cringe just thinking about it. (The nightmare was more morbid than scary, and no one I know was in it, thanks God.) I had to turn on the lights in my room and browse the internet for a few minutes, before I calmed down enough to go back to sleep.

I taught myself to look for any key signs that something is a dream. So if anything looks like it wouldn't be found in my daily life (like a person hanging from a lamppost), I simply wake myself up from the dream. This works quite well.

Okay. I'll quit with the Nightmares and stick with Routemasters.

This was a filler thread. I've made it up, to give everybody something interesting to talk about. I'm not really obsessed with Nightmares.

I'm the opposite, I can't wait to dream about the things I love, however far-fetched but I fear nightmares, I won't go to sleep if I think I'll have one. When I wake up from them I'm scared their real and have to stay awake for an hour or two to make sure they're not. :?

I hate them so much.

I couldn't sleep, tonight. I'm not sure if this obsession was a good idea.

I rarely get nightmares, but my dreams are pretty nonsensical. So, it'll be kinda hard to obsess over dreams like staring at the moon or sitting in a chair with nothing around me or even, looking at my reflection on a turned off TV.

With the sub-conscious thoughts that go on in my head, they have absolute no relevance to my dreams.

I don't even know why I've started this thread. All of the posts that I've posted here, would have been better spent on Routemasters. This is crazy!

I like nightmares. They inspire me to write horror novels.
